Introducing, pre-mixed and moistened clay substrate starter cups to simplify the expansion of your own Springtail (Folsomia candida or Collembola) farm!

About Our Clay Substrate

The clay we use as our substrate is a mix of several types of clays and ingredients which were formulated to help improve the health of Dart Frogs. The main ingredient is a high quality calcium bentonite clay which is rich in trace minerals and calcium which are essential for the health of Dart Frogs.

Inherently, the Springtails (Folsomia candida or Collembola) will ingest some of that mineral and in turn provides an enhanced diet to whatever is eating them.

About The Container

This substrate comes in an air-tight, food grade Pro-Kal cup with matching lid.

What Is Included?

1 - 6oz Pro-Kal container (and lid) with roughly 2-3oz of clay substrate

Make sure to read our DIY Guide on how to run your own pro-level Springtail cultures
